Venezia, Firenze, Roma

Oh jeez! I we are FAR behind on this blog... Let me catch you up....
Venezia (Venice) - Words can't describe the awesomeness that is the beauty of Venice. :) The homes enter right into the water, the taxis take you around the canals and the wine is sold 2liters for 4euro. Ofcourse the shopping is incredible. An entire mile of shops line the streets for tourists (like me) to get lost in for hours. My hostel was so much fun, they took us out to the only bar in town each night and had a kitchen in which I cooked Italian pasta dishes for a few of my fellow travelers. Nothing is better than going exploring for an hour and then getting lost for 2 hours trying to get home in the maze of alleys and bridges.

Firenze (Florence) - Michael Angelo's David and Duff Beer! That's about it. Oh, and pictures of only one part of the David everywhere. ;-) The food was delicious and cheap. I found an all you can eat Italian dinner buffet that was incredible. Mostly Florence is a day city, however, I climbed to the top of the Michael Angelo hill/tower thing and watched the sunset of the city. It was miraculous. Ofcourse there was lots of shopping and shinny things. On my final day in Florence, I left the city to enjoy the Tuscany coutry side and a winery tour/tasting in the Chianti Classico region...amazingly beautiful.

Roma (Rome)- The city with the best history ever! Between the Coliseum, Vatican City, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and the countless other churches, shops and attractions, it is very clear Rome was not built in a day. More like 2,000 years and world of cultures. It is a bussling city, filled with crazy drivers and hillarious street vendors. After 4 days of site seeing and 4 nights of enjoying the Roman bars it was time to head south.

*pictures to come soon... I hope. Sorry for the short post, I only get 30minutes at the hostel. miss everyone!
